It was a thrilling time 'all Fun' as some of us described, had ample amount of Drinks / dance n dinner. pictures apeak more than words. It feels so good to see that the older batches are showing much more enthusiasm than the newer ones in trying to connect to old batchmates & seniors, juniors likewise. I am trying to organise the first ever Mumbai meet for DCEites with the support of some batchmates and juniors. Now after a month, the efforts are paying off very well with some of the really old batches confirming their participation in the meet. As of now we targetted a 100 odd DCEites turning up for that day, who knows we might just double the figure if enough batches and individuals show enthusiasm to participate. The meet started at DST (DCE Standard Time) at around 6:30 PM Hasya Kavi Sammelan started off the meet and what was definitely inspiring to see was the enthusiasm of the Golden and Silver Jubilee batches. I was really amazed to see the turnout of those batches. If my numbers are still ok, there were atleast 100 people of 84 batch with lots of energy. Something which I really want to highlight that the attendence from the recent batches, including mine was so low that we hardly had anybody to talk to. Saturday evening (once in entire year), we could not take time out to come for DCE. 84 batch had people from US, Dubai, Germany, Japan, UK etc etc for this event!! I think we need to learn few things from them. It looked as a clear gap of the enthusiasm between Old Campus DCEites and New Campus DCEites! People who are in Delhi, could take time out from their personal / professional lives to visit this event. Even very few of us are members of either www.dcealumni.net OR www.dcealumni.org Atleast enroling is what we could do. Also, during the meet they announced that Batch and branch coordinators are required. We could register ourselves as the coordinators for our batch and branch from the website. At this time of recession, when all of us have lesser work (lets be honest :-)), we could atleast use this time to show more activity in Alumni Networks of our colleges. Finally DCE has a website!!! I have been longing since 1995 that DCE should also have a website and an alumni association. This is a great website. Do we have any souvenir shop in DCE? Are there any DCE T-Shirts/Caps other such stuff available at the new campus? If any one has any information pls do write back. If anyone from the Electronics Batch of 1990 is in Bangalore, pls do contact me.

Hey Buddies, How is everybody in the new campus. Well we never get to see the new campus but i wish all the best to all new comers. Since we (our group) was quite famous for the ragging so i really miss that. I really miss my all friends they used to call me Raja, Raj, RK and SKP. Well if there is anybody from 1994 batch then they will definitely remember me as I was quite famous for losing the elections.

Whenever I look back to our days at DCE, it always brings a smile to my face. Whether its the mischief of the monkeys or the primates (us). Or the general feel of new beginnings being made. We were there at a time when the transistion was "the thing" in DCE. We saw Troika being conducted for the first time and (within 2 years) go on to become a big event. We laid the foundations of MACH, worked for the success of MACH-96 and 97 and its heartening to note that even MACH has become quite a brand now. I left with only one regret, that we missed being in the new campus.
